Step 1: Theory of Online Training
(Must be completed before Step 2: Practical Training with a passing result)
This training package includes all the essential modules required for your WOF certification.
You will receive comprehensive study materials to help you understand the WoF requirements, including full 3-month access to the following modules:
- Introduction: An overview of the WOF certification process and its significance.
- General Vehicles: Detailed coverage of the requirements and standards for various types of vehicles.
- General Trailers: In-depth information on the specific requirements for trailer inspections.

WOF Certification Training Package
This package covers the essential modules you’ll need to study for your WOF certification:

Step 2: Practical Training
Our 1-day preparatory course is designed to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the inspection procedures at a higher skill level. You will learn to:
- Accurately identify defects
- Make qualitative and quantitative assessments (including wear and tear)
- Evaluate the overall condition of vehicles
Your NZTA Final Test
Once you’ve successfully completed our training course and the 1-day practical training, you will be ready to submit your application to the NZ Transport Agency.
